About me

Good to meet you! I'm a former reporter turned mother-of-three. No longer working for a paycheck. In 2008 I realized I needed to capture the adventures in parenting that I was sure to forget. That's how this blog began.  We have lovely families but decided to move 5,000 miles away from them in 2006, from London to San Francisco.  I'm learning not to dwell too much on the past or the future and focus on the moment. I do get sentimental and homesick sometimes though. Bear with me. What interests me most is good writing, the human brain, sustainability, handmade designs and DIY. But mostly I attend to the school run, sibling conflict and cooking....I've found that turning the dining room into a dance floor solves most problems (except the school run).
